CORE is a shared-world mining game on Solana. There is exactly one planet. Every wallet drills the same earth toward the same core. Whoever pushes deepest each weekly epoch earns the largest share of $CORE emission.
how it works
Each Solana slot ticks the drill. Slots are roughly 400ms apart, which means every player at the controller is given the same ~150 dice rolls per minute. The slot hash seeds the strike table for that interval, so two players at the same depth, on the same slot, see correlated outcomes.
A strike rolls one of five outcomes:
- ore — small $CORE bonus, +0.5× multiplier for 8s
- $CORE vein — medium bonus, +0.3× multiplier for 12s
- diamond — rare large bonus, +1.5× multiplier for 6s
- magma pocket — burns fuel and refunds part of your depth back
- dry rock — nothing
Magma is the punishment that keeps the loop honest. You can't just hold the button forever and farm. Going deeper means more frequent strikes, both good and bad.
fuel
Fuel is the rate limit. The drill consumes 1.6 fuel per second while running, and regenerates 25 fuel per hour while idle. With a full 100-fuel tank you get roughly 62 seconds of continuous drilling per recharge.
To break past the recharge cap, burn $CORE for instant fuel:
- 100 $CORE → 100 fuel (1:1 base rate, no slippage at launch)
- Magma strikes can erase the fuel you just bought, so timing the burn matters
tokenomics
$CORE total supply: 1,000,000,000
| bucket | share | vesting |
|---|---|---|
| mining emission | 60% | 4-year halving curve |
| liquidity | 15% | locked at TGE |
| team | 10% | 1-year cliff, 3-year linear |
| community quests | 10% | unlock per quest completion |
| early drillers airdrop | 5% | snapshot before TGE |
The mining emission curve halves every 12 months: epoch 1 distributes 75M $CORE, epoch 2 distributes 37.5M, and so on, until emission converges to the burn rate from fuel purchases.
sinks
- fuel burns — every fuel-for-CORE purchase removes $CORE from circulation
- magma burns — 0.5% of $CORE generated per magma strike is burned to a dead address
- drill upgrades — Drillhead NFTs are minted on a bonding curve in $CORE
drillhead NFTs
A limited set of NFT drill upgrades will be available post-TGE. Each Drillhead has stats: drill power, fuel cap, fuel efficiency, strike luck. Mints follow a bonding curve denominated in $CORE, so demand drives both the floor and the sink.
onchain phases
phase 1 — off-chain demo (now)
The game runs in your browser. State is local. Leaderboards are simulated. This phase is for tuning game feel, balance, and visual identity.
phase 2 — claim onchain
Drill state stays off-chain. Claiming converts your pouch into onchain $CORE via a single transaction. Anti-bot signature: claims require a fresh slot hash baked into the message you sign.
phase 3 — fully onchain world
Each "tile" of earth you discover becomes a compressed NFT (cNFT) recording the depth, the strike result, the wallet that found it, and the Solana slot. The planet is then a permanent onchain map. Old records persist forever as Drill Receipts.
weekly epoch & rewards
Every week a snapshot is taken. The top 100 deepest wallets split 25% of the week's mining emission. The bottom of the curve still gets paid (the rest is distributed proportionally to depth), but the prize for being deepest is steep enough to incentivize burn-buy-drill loops.
fair launch
No presale. No insider allocations beyond the team vesting line item. Liquidity is locked at TGE. The first week of mining is open to anyone who connects a wallet on the day of launch — no whitelist, no allowlist.
faq
is this a real game or a meme?
The game mechanic is real and tuned. The tokenomics is real and audited at TGE. Whether it gets adopted is the meme.
what wallet do i need?
Any Solana wallet that supports message signing (Phantom, Backpack, Solflare). No bridging from other chains required.
can i play without crypto?
Yes. The off-chain demo is free and stays free. Onchain claims are optional.
what's the catch?
Time. Drilling is bounded by fuel, and breaking that cap costs $CORE. Anyone with patience gets paid. Anyone with capital gets paid faster. Both paths converge on depth.
